Tister’s Table is a home restaurant that makes delicious homemade Salvadoran rice pupusas that feature the tastes of Filipino food. Tister’s Table continues a long history of culinary traditions weaving together over time. This is a celebration of mixedness on a plate.

How it started…

Hi! Welcome to my table! I’m Jessica- aka tister. That’s how my little brother used to call me sister when we were kids. It’s a nickname close to my heart. Tister’s Table is my home-based business in Oakland.

In my family, food is our love language. I’m a hapa, second generation Filipina who grew up in San Francisco getting to eat Salvadoran rice pupusas. The food at Tister’s Table comes from that experience. I’m excited to share it with you!
